There is far more to life than computers, the internet, television and so on, but it is not always easy to impress this upon our kids. A good floor is wood shavings, which they also use to clean themselves! But it is important to get the right wood, as some nice smelling woods like pine and cedar may hurt your rabbit and make them ill. The adults in the pet store should be able to help you here.

The reason rabbits are very popular with kids is that they are very playful creatures. When they are let to run loose, rabbits may run around for hours without getting tired. Hence, it will be best to make rabbit cages as enjoyable as possible.

This will also work to your advantage as a well-stocked cage will keep your rabbit inside the cage even when the door is left accidentally open - this prevents your rabbits from turning your carpets and couches into their own form of entertainment. It is easy to keep a rabbit entertained. Just place lots of baby toys - the one that squeaks will be a good choice - in his cage. A simple baseboard can also provide your bunny with hours of entertainment. Of course, a vegetable or fruit snack will also make your bunny very happy.

Remind your kids of the simple joys that taking care of pets can do. Rabbits will surely keep them entertained for hours. Just make sure your rabbit will also enjoy the experience as much as the kids by keeping them in neat and fun rabbit cages.
