When shopping for a bed for your kitty it is important to not only focus on the appearance — such as how well it fits in with the room decor or its color — but there are also other certain elements that need to be kept in mind. These include: 1. Texture: What determines whether or not your cat actually loves the bed you’ve chosen for sleep or nap time? Probably the texture and softness are the best judge, no matter if it’s a heated bed or outdoor bed. Most cats are usually very picky and seem to hop from one place to another when looking for places to nap. If the bed is not soft and the texture is not what your cat prefers, then they will most likely leave the bed and go somewhere else to take their nap.

2. Structure: The range of structures of cat beds can be confusing, but you can select between donuts shapes, "enclosed" and many others. Some other structures include a raised platform for added comfort.

3. Temperature: No matter what the time of year might be, cats all love warm places. There are newer beds which come complete with built-in heading pads. These are either microwaveable or electric-powered. These provide therapeutic warmth with a healing quality that can keep your cat looking forward to using the bed.

4. Size: When you’re trying to choose between the different kinds of cat beds always be sure the one you select is the correct size. Some cats are bigger than others, of course, and require more space for sleep. If you have more than one cat, then they might want to snuggle up and sleep together. If this is the case, it might be best to get a larger size. You can always put more bedding or cushions inside if the space seems too big.

There are still other types of cat beds, including those such as cardboard, cushioned, sleeping bags, fleecy rounded beds, plastic, and beanbags, among many others. Also remember that whichever bed you finally select, it’s important to make sure the location it’s place in will be perfect as well. Most cats like to have a nice view of the whole house when sleeping. Considering these factors can make kitty’s sleeping experience even better!

Cats and dogs spend a lot of their time sleeping so a comfortable bed is very important.  Cats like to be comfortable when they are sleeping so getting them a cat bed that will keep them warm is a necessity.

If you are looking for a more traditional cat bed then why not consider a wicker cat bed.  Wicker cat beds are great for cats, they offer needed support, as well as comfort for size.  A window cat bed is also great, and then your cat can lie lazily in the sun in its bed looking out the window. Window sill cat beds take into account the cat’s natural curiosity, allowing them the opportunity to watch the outside world from the comfort of their own bed.

If the cat is your prince or princess then why not spoil them with a fancy cat bed or a designer cat bed? If you have multiple cats then you might want to consider getting a cat bunk bed for them to share, or a cat bed tree.  Cats like to be close and share with other cats and these type of cat beds will give them the opportunity.

If your cat stays outside most of the time then perhaps an outdoor cat bed or a low cost cat bed that you can replace every few months might provide the ideal solution.

It is important to remember that because cats regularly shed hair, a washable cat bed is very important to help keep the cat healthy, and help keep the cat hair to a minimum in your house.  Another good idea is to have two cat beds (even if you only have one cat) as this will ensure that you wash your cat bed regularly because you know that there is always a clean one waiting to take its place.
