How to Groom an English Springer Spaniel
Trimming and grooming English Springer Spaniels is not hard to do and you can do it easily at home. There are some simple trimming tips which are easy to follow and only take 15-20 minutes a month at most. Generally, springers are easy to trim and keep tidy, unlike some other breeds. If you are to do the best job, then you will require some basic dog grooming tools: A straight scissors, a thinning scissors and a wide tooth comb - these are easily obtained from your local pet store.
A brief word here on hygiene - disinfect the scissors before and after use.

English Springer Spaniel Dog Breed Profile
A medium-sized dog, the English Springer Spaniel is 19 to 21 inches at the shoulder for the male and 18 to 20 inches for the bitch. The dog weighs 45 to 55 pounds, and the bitch weighs 40 to 50 pounds. The English Spaniel is a compact, sturdy dog with a moderately long coat. The coat is found in several color varieties, black and white, liver and white, roan, and tricolour. The ears are long and hang close to the head.
